The one which perhaps can -- among the ones I speak -- which I can say perhaps would be under threat is... is Kimeru because even in the rural place where it is commonly spoken, it has started getting corrupted with English, Swahili... Even other languages like Kikuyu. So, the original form of Kimeru may disappear. And essentially, that would make a big dent on the culture of the Meru community.

So yes, it's a real concern. Among the younger people, they cannot even read, let alone write something written in Kimeru. In between, they start mispronouncing and throwing in other ones which are not in the script.
