I think it's by association [that I learned Kikuyu]. Because I never quite studied in a locality where Kikuyu is spoken. So, it is just... I remember when I started working -- my current employment at the central bank. We were put in an office of 4 people and my other three colleagues, of course, I think that's where it all began.

So as they are speaking, I'm paying interest, and also, you know, it is not very, very, very far apart from my mother tongue, Kimeru. But, it's more a matter of interest. Interest -- and like they say, practice brings perfect. So, as I started listening, I kept on learning, and then occasionally I'll join in, with my mixed Kikuyu, and eventually, I got it, just like the way you learn other languages. Yeah.
