I used to think French was really cool... But also so complicated and stupid. Like, I was just like, "What the hell, there's so many verbs!" And you know, being dyslexic, I was just like, "Oh my God, like, this is horrible! How am I going to remember this?" So I think I struggled with that a lot. And... you know, like, that was my main language in school. So like, I hated school. So in a sense, I kind of hated French.
But I also liked French music, you know, like that Édith Piaf shit, you know, because my grandma would always listen to it, and I thought it was like, so beautiful.
But now that I live in Quebec, I'm just like... I kind of find the Quebec accent sexy... [laughter] Oh, but it's not... I guess I like ghetto language like any language that's ghetto, you know what I mean? Like, you take the original language and you make it ghetto, you add some flavour, you add some spice in it. [chef's kiss] Love that shit. [laughter] It makes it different...
